If you are missing "x is a natural number" while reading question and solving directly and getting wrong ans is a silly mistake

How to avoid it?
Simple
Note x = N while solving and circle it

There are many such methods

It's a mix b/w 3
1. misreading the questions (like you mentioned)
2. miscalculation
3. lastly (not silly but conceptual) - i **** up 'inequality'-type questions a lot.

3rd can be tackled only with practice... if u think that you totally **** up 655 level inequality questions, then it's time to get back and master the basics again. Try solving step by step and then apply logics and tricks
This will bring your time down gradually

Type 2 error of miscalculation happens due to loss of focus, fatigue.. practice long hr concentrated Sectionals or mocks without rest in between... this too is gradual

Yeah you're right. I plan to practice inequalities a lot more. and build my endurance more.

Just gave the 5th official mock. I'm aiming for a 705 in the official score.
1. how much do i need to improve in DI to get there?
2. to the people who nailed DI and timing - HOW? I'd appreciate any and all advice
But all in all - if anyone has advice on how I can improve in DI - *please* let me know 🙏🙏

What are the best non-official GMAT mocks for practice?
I've bought the official ones and wanna keep the remaining ones for the last week leading to my exam.
Which non-official mocks did you guys take for practicing and building endurance, GMATClub or experts global?

You can try GMAT Club’s tests on Thursday for free - gmat-club-tests-free-access-on-holidays-88231-980.html#p3676986

(GMAT Club’s Pro package and Elite includes Experts Global tests as well though that may be an overkill with 27 Full and 40 sectional tests - not sure anyone would want to endure that  0

I wonder how much of mocks is optimal...I mean by what no. of mocks taken and proper analysis, should have been enough for a person to be confident for actual exam? (The answer varies from person to person and their target score, but in-general any near about number)

so say if optimal mock no. is 7 then if a person has not been able to reach his target score by that then the person would be doing something wrong in his preparation, and something has to be changed...

I would say you want to take the fewer the possible - each test is 2 hours of time + 1 hour of review or maybe even more. That’s a whole day taken out and not doing any studying. I would say most people I see taking at least 10 Mock tests (some are taken as sectionals) some take 30+. You take mock tests to rehearse your practice and put it all together so to speak. it is important but you don’t need to take 10 mock tests if you have gaps in arithmetic and word problems for example. You should not be taking tests at all likely if you have gaps. Tests are the polishing stage where you know the material and putting it all in one place and practicing timing.

yes, it takes whole day but when taking mocks, like I will sit for whole 2 hours and will use my brain in almost 60+ questions within that time span... otherwise will do 1-2 sectional max... so if it’s about practicing, I feel mocks would be most efficient.
concept building has to be done before mocks though.

overall, I think mocks is not that important as compared to filling the knowledge gaps...

Scores are just a defense. Some T25 schools like Tepper and Foster have an average GMAT of <665 and are strong on Tech. Look at them for R2. Time is fast running out for the deadlines.
WA@prr809
I have been taking different kinds of exams for several years (Indian mba colleges) and I’m tired of giving exams. I could finally get a 665 gmat focus edition only to be shot down by most people (education counsellors + mba college alumni) that this is nothing for an Indian male engineer applicant, my profile is nothing. I have spent most of my productive years on this rather than building a profile, focusing on progressing my career. I’ll have to keep giving exams again to improve my score. I’m tired now and think when is it enough ? When can I focus on my career and actually do my MBA rather than keep giving exams over and over. I at max aim for T25 in US, not even an Ivy or T10 for that matter. The entire reason of doing an MBa was to pivot my career, but I’m told I need to have the career already that I want after an MBA, I need to be sure of my post mba goal. If I try to look for help all I find is people trying to sell their services in the name of “help/advice” and “candid conversation”. Did any of you have a similar experience and were able to successfully overcome this period ?

Hey guys, is 400 hours sufficient to score a 675 for someone starting at 505? Can I prepare 400 hours expecting a maximum of 200 point increase ?
