Gmatninja’s resources (in his signature) are awesome! The key aspect to learning SC is proper application of grammar rules and developing a keen eye to notice changes in meaning.

Manhattan guide too - that is what I’m following. But just learning grammar rules will get you nowhere. Key is application.

Hey everyone! Would you suggest Manhattan books for both quant and verbal, or TTP to start preparing for the GMAT? I have only one/two months to prepare starting in December and I want to have a clear idea of what to do

Manhattan books are great.. But you have to have self-discipline on revising stuff, on keeping error logs etc. TTC will make all that much easier for you , so that you can focus on just learning - as long as you keep to their plan.

Make Reading habits 30-60 minutes daily and read from The Economist, Financial Times ( reputable magazine or mewspaper). It will help you in improving English language skills- vocabulary, comprehension, sentence structure.

Thank you so much! I think I’m more keen on TTP, because I like that they give you a plan that you need to follow. I just didn’t know if TTP was a good source! Thank you! Do you think I should also get the Manhattan books? Maybe only for Quant or only for verbal

No need to confuse yourself with learning from multiple sources. Ttp should be more than enough.

There is no one correct answer to that. All the courses recommended here are good in their own way. It all depends on you learning style, time, score target etc. the best approach is to fully utilize the free trials of a few, and see which one works the best for you.

I have used both TTP and e-GMAT.

I found that SC of e-GMAT is best and Quant of TTP is best.
For CR and RC, Manhattan books or Powerscore Bible is best.

But if you don't want to spend extra bucks on Manhattan or Powerscore books and want to do it from TTP or e-GMAT, then you can choose either of them.

It’s my first time here, so hello everyone
I talked to one of the GMAT experts here. I told him about my GMAT desired score. I was told, however, that scoring 750+ is impossible. Do you believe it?
In what areas should I concentrate on to achieve my desired score? I’m weak in Quant and SC is killing me. Is there anyone who can suggest improving my work? As I have plenty of time to prepare, I should use that time to score high
I haven’t attempted the GMAT in the past. This is the first time but I know where I’m lacking
I’m already enrolled in the eGMAT course

Welcome to this Journey.

Focus on acquiring skills and course. With time you will see improvement.

Stick to the purchased course, practice and also give diagnostic test to familiarize yourself with GMATand get appraisal of your weakness and strengths.

Good advice! I see a lot of people running from one direction to another direction and combining multiple courses in multiple resources. Mini split hairs between courses and try to choose the perfect one as though they’re marrying them for the rest of their life. I have seen people score high and very high, using the weirdest and junkiest of materials. I don’t recommend them and there’s definitely a correlation between good materials and good scores but a lot of it depends on you.

So before you trash your book or a course and blame it for the lack of success, consider another culprit 😛

but you won’t double your score if you use two courses and you won’t triple it if you use three. Most likely, you’ll half it.
