Got the invite yesterday. I completed my application with the essay interview on 18th September just few hours before the deadline. Got the invite in my promotions folder yesterday at 7 pm ist.

Nope, my application still says "Submitted". But the invitation email links you to log in and submit a quote.

Yeah. Just got the email 'what to expect when you've submitted the app'.

Apparently they meet once a week to discuss interview decisions. So that should be the 'cooling period' between invite waves?

You stress into indefinite periods of anxiety while your attention span forces your current boss to promote others over you, your girlfriend leaves you for someone with a first wave invite, and your parents talk about how they did not need grad school to get where they are.

Agree. I read an Yale adcom interview somewhere (can't find the link) in which she mentioned that Yale's first round of invite is around 1/3rd of the total invites. Remaining invites will come over the next few weeks. Fingers crossed!

FYI if you didn't read the blog it did say that we will get an email midway through the round if we are not going to be admitted.
