Paranoid question about Booth Admissions Fellows

Paranoid question about Booth Admissions Fellows [#permalink]

So I had an interview last week and noticed something peculiar:
The business card my interviewer gave me had a hand-written name and email address on it, let's say Jane Doe, jane.doe@chicagobooth.edu. I looked up the person on Booth website and found a completely different address: jdoe@chicagobooth.edu
I asked another candidate and that was true for their interviewer as well.

Is anyone aware why? If it's for security reasons, it doesn't make sense because their actual email addresses are listed on the website. So the other explanation I thought of is that the Admissions Committee has access to these second emails.

Any thoughts?

Both email addresses go to the same email inbox. They all get a standard email and then pick a preferred email but both email addresses go to the same inbox.

Is this a member of admissions. I will say from my time on-campus, generally everyone will get a standard email address with a few variation options that will ultimately end up in the same place. Nothing to worry about here, they aren't trying to play any games with you or avoid communication with you
