My name is Ashwin. Kindly evaluate my profile as below.
1. Work Experience:
September 2013 onwards - Partner in N.C.Anantha Kumar and Co. - Tax and financial consultancy firm in Chennai, India (Fathers firm). We provide tax consultancy and financial consulting services for a number of high profile individuals in southern India including film actors and politicians in southern India. We also provide financial audit services for our corporate clients
September 2011- August 2013 (2 years post completion of CA) - Assistant manager in Deloitte India, Audit and Assurance division. My responsibilities primarily included leading the field audit team comprising of audit assistants and associates in performing the field audit work and reporting to the respective audit manager/director.
August 2010- September 2011 (1 year post completion of graduation and prior to completing CA) - Audit assistant in N.C. Anantha Kumar and Co. - tax and financial consultancy firm in Chennai.
Part time internship( in Fathers Firm( as part of Chartered accountancy course - February 2006 - August 2010 ( 3.5 years)
2. GMAT score of 710. Waiting for AWA and IR Scores. TOEFL iBT Score of 113
3. Educational Information:
Graduated with Bachelor in commerce from Madras University, India. - First Class with Distinction(90th percentile)
Completed Chartered Accountancy course from Institute of Chartered accountants of India - (Equivalent of US CPA)
4. Significant Achievements in Undergraduate Institution:
Part of college wing of National Service Scheme.
Participated in inter-college short film competition and obtained 1st prize.
Significant Acheivements in Higher Secondory Education:
Vice President of School Commerce Club.
Overall 4th Rank in School
2nd Rank in Economics
3rd Rank in Accountancy
5. Target Programs:
Stanford GSB Full time MBA
Columbia Business School
6. Planning to apply in R1 2013-14
7. My post MBA goal is work in investment banking sector, preferably corporate acquisitions or private equity. After a period of 7-10 years of post MBA work-ex, I plan to start an investment banking division in my fathers firm in India and diversify the business from just a consultancy firm.

While you have a chance at these two schools they are both stretch programs and you should not apply to these programs exclusively. Also consider Cornell, Duke, NYU Stern, and UCLA.

I do plan to apply to NYU Stern, Duke Also. What do you think about my chances with London Business School and Insead?
Further, do you think a better GMAT score would improve my chances. I am planning to take up the GMAT again in November and am confident of bumping my score to atleast 750. WOuld it be better to apply in Round 1 with this score or in Round 2 with an improved score?
