Yeah sorry it was 540

Also not so hot... :(

You're young dude. Don't even think about applying with a 540, especially not as an Indian. Just buckle down and retake you will have no problem getting 150 points higher.

Have a read through these two articles if you aren't convinced they will convince you :)

Hi,
I gave my GMAT exam recently. I got total score of 50(Q47/V20, IR 6). I am 3 yrs experienced in a Mechanical company. I am a mechanical engineer as well with 85% in graduation.
Can anyone suggest what good Indian b schools would be accepting this score and which courses in them? Also which universities in singapore, canada or other countries?

Hi Lakshmi,

You'd really want to get that verbal score up by ~15 more points (to about 70-75th percentile). Any of the decently ranked colleges will not be impressed with your current score.

All of you thank u for the guidance. I also see that isb in india and other b schools in Singapore are accepting GRE scores as well. I have GRE score of 309. Can anyone please provide feedback on this and if there is possibility of getting into decent universities with that GRE score

Indeed you can apply with a GRE score as well, but I think there is a typo in the GRE score you mentioned. If your GRE score is better than your GMAT score you can apply with that. This page lists some average GRE scores and may be helpful for your school selection: https://aringo.com/gmat-vs-gre-for-mba/

But if your GRE score is similar to your GMAT score you really have no option but to retake, I am afraid.

Your sole focus should be on improving that verbal score.

A 670 + an IT profile will make the application process difficult for you. At ths point, you can only consider schools beyond rank 40 in the US. A better GMAT score will help you do well.

Thanks Karthik for your response. I will try for a next attempt targeting higher score. Do you think increasing number of experience (and age) would be an obstacle?
