If you are arguing that vocab would be of much more use and value, I think I agree esp in light of all the grammar tools though that did not prevent you from missing an “of” 😛 or me making a few mistakes I am sure.
The vocabulary part that I disliked the most about the Jerry was that there was no official list of words that may show up. It seemed like you couldn’t really prepare to test when literally any word could’ve appeared there while for sentence correction, you actually could learn all of the grammar rules and they were finite. The SAT has the same issue in my view… you have to prepare for something and you are a evaluated based on the chance of you studying that word ahead of time when there’s no official list to study… I have not taken the GRE and perhaps I’m overblowing it but I had a psychological issue with it. it seemed like the casino controlling the rules of the game and changing them as it wished. 😇

bb Could you throw more light on the DI section? Is IR from classic GMAT true representation of Focus DI (I know Quant DS is part of DI now)? It does not seem worth buying OG 2023-24 yet, from this thread. Maybe just the GMAT prep focus practice tests can be bought. Also, questions that are marked as GMAT Prep (focus) on GMAT Club Forum quiz - Are they from the practice tests?
It appears that I will have to retake after my Classic GMAT attempt yesterday. My official mocks were 680. 640. 680. 690 and I ended up with low 600 / Q45 (While I feel extremely annoyed and dejected, I need to re-focus and re-prepare and it pains). I hadn't really prepared for IR and did not even think of a retake. : /

Interestingly, it's not all of quant DS. The DS in the latest guide (and the Focus Edition) seems to be limited to ~applied (not "pure") math.
- as someone who did not or does not, I felt the best option was to read fiction or books in English but chasing every word I did not know was very time consuming.
