No. This is actually not a GMAT question. It’s probably too hard to be on the GMAT, frankly.

If 31 March 2017 is a Saturday, find the day of the week on 1 January 2014. (A) Wednesday (B) Friday (C) Thursday (D) Monday (E) Tuesday
2016 leap year, so the day move backs by 2
so 31st mar 2016 is thur
2015 is wed
2014 is tue
every 7 days calendar day repeats
there are 4 sets of 7 in 31, so going back 28 days to the 3rd of march which is tue
2nd of march mon
1st of march sunday
28th feb is saturday
go back 28 days
jan 31 is saturday
3rd of jan is also saturday
2nd of jan friday
1st of jan thursday
C
Hope that was correct!

3% people in village A and 69% in village B pay less than state average....and these are respective probabilities of paying less than average .... subtract 69-3 to get 66

Hello everyone, my name is Nayan, and I’m delighted to meet all of you. As a recent graduate from India at the age of 22, I’m excited to start preparing for the New GMAT focus edition. I’m reaching out today to seek your valuable advice and guidance.
Let me provide you with some insights into my abilities. I have a strong command of the English language, but I believe there is still room for improvement. On the other hand, my quantitative skills are currently weak. However, I am determined and motivated to overcome this challenge with time.
At this stage, I’m looking for guidance on how to begin my GMAT preparation and which platform would be most suitable for my needs. I’ve come across various recommendations on this forum, suggesting that eGMAT is highly effective for improving English skills, while TTP stands out for mathematics. Additionally, I’ve learned that the verbal section of the GMAT Focus edition is not significantly more difficult than the previous version.
Considering my intermediate level of English proficiency and below-average aptitude in mathematics, I would greatly appreciate your input on selecting the most suitable platform for my studies.

DS Question 1 - June 26 The positive integers r, s, and t are such that r is divisible by s and s is divisible by t. Is r even? (1) st is odd. (2) rt is even Source: Others | Difficulty: Hard
1) This tells us that both s and t are odd. NS. r could be even or odd
2) rt is even
cases:r is even t is odd ->r is even
r is even t is even ->r is even
r is odd t is even -> not possible. S is divisible by t which is some even number. This implies that s itself must be even. If S is even, and also divides r, then r must have at least 1 two making it even.
R is even in all possible cases of 2

Everyone thanks for trying. Answer is D. 95%
Most of you were able to get to 66% and your reasoning was spot on. Your answer would have been correct, if the question didn’t ask Villager A’s probability relative to Villager B’s. In this case likelihood will be 69%-3%/69%=95% (approx)

P(A)=0.8
P(B)=0.25
A and B are independent. That means they are not mutually exclusive.

The probability of David will eat a healthy breakfast and it will rain is:
P(A and B) = 0.8 × 0.25 = 0.2

P(A or B)= 0.8+0.25-0.2
=0.85
