On monday , 150 customers visited a cafeteria. Each customer had a drink either hot or cold from the choice of either coffee pr tea or flavored milk.2/5 of the customers had cold beverages of which 20had coffee and 25 had tea. The ratio of the number of customers who had cold tea to the numbers of customers who had coffee is equal to the ratio of the numbers of customers who had tea to the number of customers who had coffee. If none of the customers had hot flavored milk, what percent of the customers who had hot drinks had coffee?

Also, I assumed it’s the number of people who had cold tea to COLD coffee. Is it supposed to be cold tea to the total number of people who had coffee (hot+cold)?

For cold we know the ratios :
Cc : 20 Ct : 25 CFM 15
But ratio is confusing as it is like : 25: ( 20+hc )= Ht + 25 : ( 20 + hc ) .....
As denominators are same : can we say ht is 0 ?

From the ratio, Cold tea to Total coffee :: Total tea to Total coffee, we get that total tea = cold tea, meaning hot tea is 0? I think. Its a bit confusing. Now since no one drank hot flavoured milk, thats 0 too. So if we deduct cold beverage folks (which includes cold tea, coffee and flavoured milk) from the total, we get 90. Now 90 is equal to the hot beverage folks and also equal to people who drank hot coffee (since hot tea and hot flavoured milk is 0). So 90/90 * 100 is 100%. Thats the answer. Again, not sure tho since the ratio confused me alot

the hour hand travels 360 degrees in 12 hours. In one hour, it’s 30 degrees. 360/12 =30

rough estimates for each option:
1) 6: 20 – 60 degrees
2) 6: 40 – 60 degrees
3) 3 : 15 – 0 degrees
4) 3.30 – 90 degrees

The hour hand moves by 2.5 degrees for every 5 minutes. In thirty minutes, it would cover 15 degrees.
So, if option 4 was 2:30 instead of 3:30, the angle between the hour and minute hand will be 105

Lets take 100 people: 60men and 40 women; 70 graduates and 30 non-grads. Fine so far. Now says 50% of grads i.e. 70 ppl are male, so that is 35 grads are men which means, remaining 35 grads are females. From earlier, we have 40 women and we are told 35 are grads so remining 5 are non-grads. So ans: 5 women / 100 club members = 5%.

Since this question is in percent, we can assume the total number of people to be 100 and our answer will not change.
We know that 60 members are male, so 40 must be female.
We also know that 70 memberrs are graduate, and so 30 must be non grad.
We know that half of the members who are graduate are male, so that means 70/2=35 graduate, male members.
We therefore know that the other 35 members who are graduate are female.
Since the total number of females in the group is 40, there must be 5 non-graduate females.
5% of the members are non-graduate females
