There are far fewer Indian applicants to Canadian b-schools than to schools in the US so you may find your progress there fruitful. If yyou can get a 7-handle on that GMAT score as you aspire, you should have a shot especially since being a female with an engineering degree is more unique than the average female applicant. Your work experience is a bit non-traditional too which can also help distinguish you in the process. Let us know if you need help. We have particular expertise with schools in North America including Canada and US b-schools.

Re: Profile Evaluation [#permalink]
Hi guys,

I would really appreciate if you could evaluate my profile:

Indian, Female, 26

GMAT 700 Q-49 V-35

CGPA: 7.2/10
Bachelor of Engineering degree from a reputed University in India.

4 years working experience in a MNC.
I am working as a technical consultant in Production Planning. I interact directly with the client and that has boosted my communication skills as well as given me confidence to manage a project independently.

I would like to know about the colleges in which I can apply for R2.

Hi guys,

I would really appreciate if you could evaluate my profile:

Indian, Male, 23

GMAT Yet to appear (registered for early February. Hoping for a 700+)

Education and Professional Qualifications: Bachelor of Commerce, Chartered Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst.

2 years work ex at a Bulge bracket bank.
I work in Middle office liasing with the Traders. 3-month stint in the U.K.

3 year internship (requirement for Chartered Accountant. 1 year at a Big 4 and 2 years with a mid tier firm). Will that be considered as work-ex?

What are my chances of being accepted to a top tier program in round 3?

Regards.

Round 3 is tough and is the round where schools are trying to "fill niches" in the student body. Because there are so many Indian applicants, schools are generally not needing to fill any more slots with applicants from your pool. you could certainly try, and your profile seems adequate for the top tier--but don't get your hopes too high. Generally I recommend Indian applicants apply in first round.
