Hi,

Kindly help evaluate my profile and suggest MBA programs that maybe suitable for me. I ideally want to end up in either UAE, SG or AU after my MBA

Background and Nationality:
Age/Gender/Nationality: 24 years, Male, Indian

Academic Background:
Undergraduate: BCom (Hons) from GGSIPU - GPA 7.9
GMAT Focus Score - 675

Professional Background:
Total Work Experience: 3 years at start of 2025 program
Current Position: Senior Analyst at one of the largest advertising agency

Post-MBA Goal:
To transition into a leadership or strategy role within the Marketing/Advertising Industry and expand my knowledge beyond digital platforms. I aim to utilize both traditional and digital marketing strategies in tandem to drive holistic and innovative marketing solutions.

@bhavyasood - some thoughts and clarifications: 1. The acads are alright. Have there been any seniors from your undergrad in top B-schools? Some precedence can help, both in connects and statistically. 2. GMAT (Classic) averages of top MBA programs are here . Broadly, aiming for schools where your (GFE equivalent) score is 10-20+ points higher would be ideal, given the Indian Male applicant pool. 3. Your work-ex (3 years as of 2025 start) is a bit on the lower side for some programs: average age/ work-ex at top MBA programs are here . Having said that, quality of the work-ex can help compensate for this i.e. key achievements in your roles, promotions, skillsets gained, international exposure, alignment to post MBA goals, etc. I would like to understand these angles to assess better. Also, the post-MBA goals need strengthening, but that'd require some discussions. 4. Given your geographic preference (assuming it's post-MBA and short-term) towards UAE, SG, AU, looking at a strategic mix of Europe/ UK, Asian and AU programs would be ideal. I hope you are doing well. Speaking about your profile, you've got a great foundation for an MBA. However, though three years at a top advertising agency is a super impressive experience, it falls on the lower end of top B-schools.

I appreciate your focus on transitioning into a leadership or strategy role within marketing/advertising. It's fantastic that you want to go beyond just digital and leverage both traditional and digital approaches - that well-roundedness is exactly what b-schools love.

Considering the geographies you wish to work in, you should be targetting schools in Singapore, the UK, the Middle East, and Australia. With 3 years of work experience, most European schools would not be very supportive of your candidature.
