Hey,

Being an aspirant to the Wharton business school and schools like Kellogg and Booth I think your profile really stands out.

checking out the Wharton website https://mba.wharton.upenn.edu/class-profile/
you have an above-average score and a good GPA. Given that you write your essays well chances are highly likely for you to get an interview call.

You have good NGO and leadership experience as well which makes your profile complete.

Just keep your confidence high I think you will be able to get through some great colleges.

All the best for your future endeavors.

Thanks.

Hi LordVoldemort760

Your academics look solid. Work experience also seems to be going good esp if you can get promotions and make good impact in your company. ECs look fine but I suggest focusing more on impact.

Two things I'd like to suggest:

1. Try to get more international experience. All business schools want students with global mindset who can be successful in a multi-cultural setup. Having international experience assures them that you will be a good fit. Also, you are competing not only with Indians applying from India but many Indians already working in the US! So to improve your competitiveness try to get some solid international experience.

2. Conduct school research. This is the one of the most underestimated and undervalued aspect of MBA application. Most students tend to think that all top business schools are more or less alike, but they are not. So you should not only try to understand different programs and their offerings but also really understand if you are a good fit for them and they are a good fit for you. Use this year and the next to talk to current students, alums, attend events, talk to the admissions team too if required. All this research will be really useful for your essays and interviewes.

If you need personalized help with your MBA applications, feel free to reach me directly at [email protected].
I'm based in Delhi.

Good luck!

Hi All, wanted to get an idea of which schools I have a realistic chance of getting into in 2023 intake (with approx 3.5-4 years workex)

Profile:

Indian Male, 23, top 3 Delhi University College (St.Stephens/SRCC/SSCBS). CGPA : 8.11/10.

GMAT online: 750, taken 2020.

WE: Financial Research in top global financial firm (think Two Sigma/Renaissance) working with US based energy team from Indian office. Completed two levels of CFA.

Extra curriculars: Founded undergraduate Pro bono consulting organisation to service NGOs/NPOs, performed impactful work for diverse clients ranging from standalone orphanages to foundations. Also held leadership role of the stock market society.

Proficient in French + English, Hindi.

Post MBA goals; MBB consulting, hope to transition to a PM position post.

Target: Wharton (dream institute), Kellogg, CBS, Booth, and Stern (H/S/Sloan seems unlikely to me). What do you think my chances are?

Thanks!
