Hello,
It appears that you’ve got a solid professional background in terms of type and level of work, and solid “numbers” (GPA and GMAT) – but given your
over-over-represented Indian-in-IT group, “solid” isn’t sufficient to make you
a competitive applicant for Kellogg, Tuck, and Haas. I’d consider these programs to be extremely high reaches, perhaps unrealistic (unless there are other standout aspects to your candidacy that I’m not aware of). In my view, Fuqua would be a reasonable reach –still high but you’d have a shot with a great application, and Georgetown also, though closer to on-par. Your
goals certainly make sense given your background – but this type of transition is also quite common among people with your background, so it won’t necessarily differentiate you.
I suggest looking at UNC Kenan-Flagler, UCLA, and Tepper – they would still be reaches, but more realistic ones with a strong application that differentiates and distinguishes you.
