Hey Guys,

I am applying for Masters in Management in Rotterdam School of Management, Nyenrode Business Univesity, and Esade Business school. Also kindly advise how I can improve any of the aspects below to my advantage.

Please check out my profile and tell me if I would have any chance of getting into the above schools:

GPA: 2.6/4
GMAT: (AWAITING)
Work Exp: 7 months as a Sales Administrator at Metlife; Two months of internship at Deloitte
Age:22

Thanks a lot.

Hey sana28102810
Thanks for posting. My first suggestion is you look up the class profile on each school's website. Look at the average GMAT, GPA, and number of years of work experience and see how you compare. On the surface, my initial reaction is that your GPA is low so you should consider building an alternative transcript. And at this point of time, you don't have a lot of full-time work experience -- but that might be okay for a Masters in Management so see what each school says about this. Also, without a real GMAT score, it's hard to say what your chances are so really make sure you do well on the exam. I hope that helps a bit!
All the best,
Krista

Dear mbaMissionKrista,

Thanks a lot for your quick response. After speaking to some admissions directors, they said that Test Scores or GMAT are really not looked into isolation and something over a 600 should be good enough for them, although I may have to work really hard for GMAT and get a 700 and above to make up for my low GPA.

Hi sana28102810,

On the basis of the information you have shared with us and as already identified by you, you will need to offset your low GPA with a GMAT score that is higher than the class average. Of course, at the same time, you need to focus on preparing a set of stellar essays that highlight your core strengths, skills, and need for a management degree. Thus, while the extent of your work experience may not be the most crucial factor for the MiM, you will need to bring out your achievements in an appropriate manner.

Hope this helps!

All the best!
