Hello,
I am 24M, white, based in NYC, and did a double major from a state school with a 3.9 GPA (finance and management information systems). I work in Big 4 advisory and have been promoted once. I have 2.5 years of post-undergrad work experience. I plan to apply to T25 schools that accept GMAT waivers such as Cornell, Duke, Dartmouth, maybe Georgetown, and other similar schools. I am light on ECs (formally I am just part of rec sports). I would appreciate any thoughts on my admissions chances. Thanks!
Hi,
Given that your work experience is on the lower end and you don't also have a GMAT score yet, how about waiting another year and applying in Fall 2024? That will give you sufficient time to take a test, build up on your ECAs and also gain more professional experience, with further achievements and impact.
Adcoms will look for evidence of leadership and impact when they evaluate your application. From your short description, its not very clear how you fare on these fronts. However, if you think that waiting for a year can help you strengthen you profile then my advice above will hold true.
If you already have these in your kitty, then do elaborate and I can advice accordingly.
