Thanks for sharing.
Your passion for your industry should come through in your essays, especially as you plan to go back post-MBA. Demonstrate how your skills and experiences plus the MBA would make your target role a very reasonable goal.
Your GMAT is strong enough for your target programs. Focus on articulating what you expect to gain from the target program and how you can contribute to the experiences of your peers. Showing interest and familiarity will help demonstrate fit with the program, and help your chances.
All the best!
Thank you for the honest evaluation.
I have been reading quite a few posts off lately and it has got me a lil worried about my GPA.
I have a bachelors in Mechanical Engineering (GPA 3.4). Even though my overall GPA is within the mean of the schools i am applying (Ross, booth and Kellogg - All part time programs), GPA for the first 2 years were not so good. I had ~2.8 in the first 2 years.
Is this something i should explain via the optional essay?
Also i have a masters in Automotive Engineering with GPA 3.3. I have been consistent with my masters GPA (all semesters above 3).
Your help is much appreciated.
