In addition to a portfolio/padfolio containing extra copies of my resume, business cards, etc., I also bring a bottle of water as well. Talking about yourself for upwards of an hour straight invariably dries out your mouth and it's nice to have water with you.

I had a great experience with an interview prep / mock interview service. I decided to invest in that instead of the GMAT prep courses and materials, knowing that interviewing was my weaker area. Ended up with offers from my top two targets and $$$ from one. The connections I made with other MBAs through the service helped enormously during FY recruiting. For reference, I'm a female MBA who was recruiting for startups / VC in New York and San Francisco.

Not sure if my coach is still offering mock interviews, but happy to discuss the process with gmatclub members. Just message me.

Is it inappropriate to bring a small gift? I am a re-applicant interviewing with the same adcom officer as last year and she mentioned that she could use some of the products that my company sells. I can get sample products for a negligible price.

Do you think that a small gift could be misconstrued as being inappropriate?
What do you think?
Under normal B2B circumstance gifts are fine but B-school admission it isn't.
If you are working with a company that sells stuff online give him/her a discount code.Do not bring anything physical at the interview stage, but if it is a first interaction (pre-application visit)then you can bring in some samples.
Hope this helps.

I recommend not bringing any gifts... it may look like bribe. Just bring a copy of your resume (or the entire application if you were instructed to do so), a bottle of water and your phone (which should be turned off during the interview). Keep it professional.
