Received a 0 on AWA

Question

I just received my official score report today and received a 0 on AWA. I outlined my response and addressed the question in 4-5 structured paragraphs and submitted my response with 10 seconds left on the clock. I'm a native English speaker, and I proofread the entire essay, so the grammar errors, typos, etc. couldn't have been that atrocious. Could this be a technical error? I saw that I can submit a rescoring request for $45, but I don't want to do that if it's showing that I wrote nothing. I've reached out to GMAC, but any thoughts in the meantime?

I plan to retake the exam so this score isn't crucial, but I don't like the idea of a 0 showing on my score report. It has been 72 hours so I cannot cancel. Do you think this is something I'd need to address in my applications going forward if it stays 0?

FYI, this happened to me too (got a 770, 6 AWA) for the first few hours after my official report was available. I called GMAT and after a long hold they said others had reported the same. It was corrected within a few hours. Likely you didn’t actually receive a 0, just check back later tonight / tomorrow.

wow! now, this is a serious bug here! Glad it got rectified. 
This is the first time I'm hearing of such a bug. I thought it had smth to do maybe with using the same template from chineseburn - glad it is not!

Here's the response I received from Pearson:

We understand your concern, however, at times, once you've received your email notifying of your score report, all scores may not be readable for up to 24 hours. This is not common but can be caused due to many scores being uploaded at once. We request you to kindly try accessing your score report, you will be able to view your AWA scores.

So wait 24 hours if you see something like this happen!

Haha, good question. I was told by a few people that top schools really want a Q49, so I retook for that extra point.
