Retaking Gmat

Hi Guys, 
Please highlight any strategies for retakers, I took the exam in october last year and have to take it again. 
Please advice on the new Online Gmat vs waiting for test centres to open as I will be applying in Sept'20.

Hi, Business schools look at retakes differently. For Duke University, GMAT retake is a positive sign as it shows that the first score was not a fluke, and that you're persistent. Hi  Mbindra , strategy for retake would also largely depend upon the strategy that you adopted in your last attempt.

So, please give more details around your last attempt: your resources of preparation, your strengths/weaknesses, your mock scores in official tests, and your score in the actual exam.

Considering some of the potential issues that we're hearing about regarding how the at-home GMAT will be administered, you might want to consider pushing back your planned retest date. Before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How did you score on your 1st Official GMAT (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores)?
2) How long did you study before your GMAT? Have you done any studying since then?
3) What study materials have you used so far over the course of ALL of your studies?
4) On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
5) What is your overall goal score?
6) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

You might also choose to purchase the Enhanced Score Report. While the ESR doesn’t provide a lot of information, there are usually a few data points that we can use to define what went wrong on Test Day (and what you should work on to score higher). If you purchase the ESR, then I'll be happy to analyze it for you.

Hi All,

Wanted your thoughts on whether i should retake the GMAT or not.

27 year old (while matriculating) Indian Male (NON-ENGINEER).

GMAT: 710 (Q47, V41, IR4, AWA 5.5) - on 2nd attempt in 2019.

Target schools  - Fuqua, Darden, Stern, LBS, Judge, Said, INSEAD. (I know, all of them would be dream schools)

Education: 
10th: 90%
12th: 86.5% (Humanities)

Undergrad GPA: 3.3 
Bachelor's in Media & Communication from Symbiosis Intl. University (#1 Ranked program in the country)
Specialization: Advertising.

Work Ex: 4 years, 8 months at the time of joining. 
Year 0-2: Worked as a copywriter & creative strategist at a digital advertising firm in Mumbai
 Highlights - 
- Successfully launched the first advertising campaign for the official Swedish Tourism board in India.
- Successfully set up and launched a leading health insurance brand in India online.

I have 12 months before submitting my application and was wondering whether i should retake the GMAT or my current profile is strong enough. Would love to hear about my chances of getting an admit (I am open to applying in Early action), or how I could bolster my application (particularly the quant aspect) in this period - maybe the UC Berkeley Math for Management or MBA Math courses could help here?
