achavez
Hi guys,
I need a 500 to get accepted into the graduate program I want and it is the only requirement holding me back. I took it once back in May and got a HORRIBLE 380. I decided to register for
Magoosh, implemented their 3 month study plan, and study hard for over 2 months. I took the exam this past Monday and received a 480. SO CLOSE. I felt pretty confident going into the exam as I had scored a 520 (Q:36 V:26) on
MGMAT and 530(Q:36 V:26) on GMATprep.
My plan is to retake this exam next Thursday, August 31st to get these two points in and receive the 500. What strategies should i take on these next few days as my next exam day approaches? Also, do you think I am capable of increasing my score in such a short amount of time?
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!
Hi achavez,
I would highly encourage you to aim a little higher. A good GMAT score and also help you out in recruitment later in life.
For your preparation, you can try out the
MGMAT guides as they are phenomenal and cover the entire syllabus really well. I must add that if you are particularly looking to discover and improve on your weak areas in quant; a subscription to
GMATCLUB tests is the best way to do that. They are indeed phenomenal and will not only pinpoint your weak areas but also help you improve on them. Further taking multiple mocks might help. Apart from the GMATPREP,
Manhattan GMAT tests and Veritas Prep Tests in my experience have a good verbal and Quant section and will certainly help you point out and improve your weak areas.
Further another advantage of taking many mocks is to build up your stamina. Apart from the GMATPREP tests, taking practise tests of any major GMATPREP company ought to do that.
Lastly I would also encourage you to purchase the latest version of
OG and the verbal review for some great additional practice. Here is a link that will help you with your decision.
