dist=1600ft
rel speed=500ft/hr
time to meet after 1 hr=1500/500=3hr
ric ascended=200+200*3=200+600=800ft

Samagra i think u missed the catch, it says 60 mins later so correct answer would be 800

IMO C

From below figure we can see that after 1 hour position of R has changed form R to R'. Now using relative speed concept they will meet at



1500=500t
t=3 hrs

R has already travelled 1 hr, so he has trvalled total 4 hr with speed of 200. Total distance ocvered would be 200*4 = 800­

d = 200(t + 1) = 200t + 200
1700 - d = 300t
1700 - 200t - 200 = 300t
1500 = 500t
t = 3 hours

Distance travelled by Ric, d = 200(t + 1) = 200(3 + 1) = 200(4) = 800 ft.
