Congrat all admitted. I understand your feelings as I experienced the same last year and would like to share how I made decision between 2 schools. I got offers from Ross and another "higher ranking" school, but I decided Ross because 1. If you like a collaborative environment, Ross should be your choice. It is one of the most team work school I have ever seen. You work in different teams and get project done. You may see some "free riders", every school has this, but I did not see "competitive mindset" in my team. 2. Alumni: they are helpful. I tried to contact alumni from both school, and I received a lot of warm greeting from Ross. They invited me to different activities, talked and shared information with me. I got very few response from the other school. 3. Consulting: Ross is one of the best school for consulting and it was designed in such a way. 90% good classes are strategy. You will be learned how to become a good consultant. Given its size, Ross is the one of the most likeable school for consulting. You may think Ross is not finance school, but you may be misleading. There are around 40 MBA1 recruiting for IB this year, and most of them got offers from top such as GS, MS, JPM...it is amazing given school size. 4. Your guts feeling: it is an important factor. You may have different reasons to choose a school, but I think there is no much difference in career prospect, school quality in top 15. Most "good" companies recruits from top schools, so don't worry about opportunities. The most important factor is your feeling about that school. You can only have this feeling through "conversation and talk" with people from that school. I don't think there is a shortcut for it. Good luck to all of you. It's just the first step.

We've spent the last few months making decisions on applicants. This afternoon, those decisions will be released. And then it will be your turn to make a decision: what to do this fall. Your options could be to choose between Ross and other schools, just other schools, schools vs. work, or whether b-school is really the right thing for you. You're facing a big decision. Results are out..i was preparing for the worst..but atleast it is a waitlist..anyone from R1 can throw some light how the process works post WL with interview?

And I'm still on waitlist. Oh well. You just wait... You can send in an update. I will most likely do that now. I was invited to interview with R2. And then I went and did that. My advice is hurry up and wait. Also: everyone always says this doesn't matter, but I think it might, is anyone else here 23 or younger? I have yet to meet a single applicant at any of the schools I've visited under 25. (Well other than myself)

Admitted!!!!!! Though I did receive the call yesterday but was still nervous all day; just wanted to see it in writing It has been a long journey for me. Applied in R2 last year, was waitlisted without interview. Applied again this year (this time in R1); again got waitlisted Then received an interview invite with R2 guys and now finally admitted. I still can't believe it!!!!!! To all the waitlisted guys - Don't lose hope guys, keep working on it. Go Blue!!!!!!!
