If you look at the Rotman Class of 2018 Facebook group, you will realize that they have already given offers to quite a few people with a similar profile such as the "Indian male IT" types. They are probably looking to get candidates from other countries/backgrounds now.

btw, have any of the R1 waitlisted applicants received offers?

They didn't even bother to update me on decision date. Another round1 waitlisted (Indian) applicant! :D

Could you please confirm if this still happens? "We automatically give wait-listed applicants an offer for the following academic year if we can't enroll them in the current class. Twenty of the MBAs that will start in September 2001 were from last year's wait list." ~ Mica Schneider, Rotman Admissions Director.

Hi Waitlisted Candidates..I am waitlisted in Round-2 .I was waitlisted on 29th feb sth. and enquired about status on 15th march something but no response.
Any waitlisted candidate has written to adcom and any response so far.Please suggest

I too am wait listed but in Round 3. The mail from the ad com says that stay confident that we'll call you if there is a place available in the program. I guess it is not the right time for me to pester 'em. It's better that you do the following and then write them:

1. May be send an additional LOR that you think will give a diff view about you to the committee
2. Increase in your GMAT score
3. Talk about any promotion or some achievement that you've had at your work place

Got a response from Lynda stating that they will be reviewing waitlists next month and they will get in touch if there's any change in status.

i was supposed to get my result on may 3 but dat didnt happen. i asked lynda she said cant remove anyone from waitlist yet and they wont be looking at the waitlist again atleast for a month... so if we indeed get something it would be either end of may or sometime in early june
