Hi Anandin, it's really nice of you to take the time to help fellow applicants.
I have a question, I am interested in breaking into management consulting, and I hope you could kindly offer some insights.
1. What are the major consulting companies that recruit on campus? From what you've seen, what's the success rate like for people pursuing consulting?
2. Do rotman mbas have to compete with mbas from the US for consulting positions? Can we apply for locations in the states?
3. I have never done any high profile jobs (like VC, IB and alike), just risk analyst. But I do have a GMAT of 750 and GPA of 3.7. From people you know in the program who want to pursue consulting, do I stand a chance?
4. I am already the mother of two children, and I know consulting is not necessarily the most family friendly career, but I love to problem solve in a corporate setting. So I am researching for the least evil of all consulting jobs, do you know which consulting firm involves less travel?
5. If you know some second year students who did a consulting internship, can you please give me some contacts through PM?
Thanks a million!
