The Whatsapp group is full, and I'm not the administrator. We moved onto Viber. Get into the Rotman '16 group, introduce yourself, and you'll be invited right away. Cheers!

Done. Got added to the fb and viber group :)

Thanks

I was told over the phone. The actual package simply confirmed the amount.

Hi,

Just a quick question. My profile. Indian , Age 30. Work experience of 9 years in corporate finance reporting. Currently, handling the role of country finance head in East Africa for a singapore MNC. Planning to apply to Rotman by June 2nd or earlier. I know its a bit late. But taking a chance.

My question : I am a qualified accountant from India. Passed my CMA( Cost and Management Accountant) from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. And I did my Bachelors of Commerce ( 3 years). The website says Indian eligiblity is Bachelors (3 years) plus Masters(2 years). But in India, professional qualifications like CA,ICWA are considered to be equivalent to Masters. I wrote to the admissions team but no reply. I am ready with my application and essays and waiting for this confirmation to apply.

So, please help me if any one or the admissions committee knows the answer for the above.

Not sure if you figured out yet, but try emailing them again via Rotman admission blog, or official Rotman contact us page. Calling them on EST time will also get you the answer faster perhaps. They are usually very responsive.

I second that, although if you are in contact with one or more of the admissions directors, I might suggest contacting one of them rather than Yoko, since the directors are the ones who make the decision, in the end.

Also, I was doing a little bit of research. Where does it say that Indian applicants need to have a two-year Master's degree on top of the three-year undergraduate degree? Click here. This PDF from Rotman only says that Indian applicants need the three-year bachelor's. Correct me if I'm wrong though, and please direct me to where it says you need your Master's too.

Hi,

I am an Indian living in Africa. I work as the CFO of a singapore listed MNC with over 9 years of experience in finance and accounting. A qualified accountant from India. I applied for Rotman MBA today the 13th of May 2014. My question is as follows

I paid the fees and i saw the status " Application Submitted". However, when I go the log in page, steps 3 and 4 which are complete and application and supplemental documents are unticked. I tried to go to the last page again and the payment field opens up one more time. And I am yet to receive a mail from the school that my application is received.

Please help me out.

Sesha.

Hi,

In the website , admission requirements, academic , equivalency hyper link , click India . There are 2 categories 1 is 4 year engineering graduates and 2 is 3 years graduation+ 2 years Masters.

However, i did contact the admissions team and got a go ahead for the same. I am not sure if it is a general rule that Indians applications will be accepted with 3 years bachelors. Because, I did my BCOm from India but I qualified my Cost and Management Accounting( Earlier ICWAI) which is considered equivalent to Masters program in India in certain Universities.

Ah, I found the location of the webpage. So the admissions team told you to go ahead and apply? What did they say about the two-year Master's requirement?

Regarding your application, you don't get a confirmation email after you submit your application, at least I didn't. I just had to go back to my online profile on the online application page at the Rotman site to keep track of the process. I could be entirely wrong, but to me it sounds like although you submitted your application, it isn't yet complete. If your supplementary documents are unchecked, it sounds like it could be that the admissions office hasn't received the documents yet, or haven't processed them. When you look at your supplementary documents, what does it say under submission status? If they received it or processed it, it should either say that it's "Received" or "Waived". Unless the application portal is different for international students?

For the Pre-MBA Program, the start date is as mentioned by achakraverty, August 4. However, the schedule isn't out yet.

I'm just going to correct achakraverty a little here. Orientation is August 26-28. It is the last Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of August, and it is mandatory. Orientation camp is August 29-31, the Friday to Sunday after Orientation. While every Rotman student and alum I spoke to say I must attend, it is not mandatory. However, it is organized by students, and run by students, and no staff is on camp.

First day of classes is after Labour Day, September 2. Exam week for the first term is the week of September 29. Sigh...

Also, does any anyone know if there's a platform where 2016 applicants can seek accommodation together?

Yes there is. Sounds like you were offered admission, congratulations! In a few days you'll receive an official email from Rotman detailing your next steps. Included in that email is an invitation to join the Rotman Class of 2016 Facebook group, and there are many there who are currently looking for accommodations. Sounds like there's a few who have already found roommates so, best hurry!

Thanks! Yes I have. I am based out of Bangkok and will not be reaching before 10th of August. Trying to narrow down on areas. Hoping maybe I can confirm accommodation with someone online, but tough call given I won't be able to see anything till I land and may be disappointed. Else, I just might book a place for a month.

I already sent a request to join the 2016 fb group but haven't been accepted as yet.
