Hey guys,

Quick question - I'm trying to reach out to a current Rotman MBA student with a similar background for help in making a decision. Can anyone let me know the Rotman MBA email format? By email format I mean, for example, "firstname.lastname@school.ca"

Would appreciate the help!! Thanks in advance guys and best of luck with your decisions :)
seedy, it's generally firstname.lastname@rotman.utoronto.ca but there are a few I know who have numbers in their email address. Also, if you're contacting an ambassador just go to the Rotman ambassadors page.

Hi all,

Congrats to all those admitted.

Please is it true that Rotman gives scholarships based on GMAT scores?
aderayo2002, it's not simply based on GMAT scores. While there is a tendency for scholarships toward high GMAT scorers (700+), there are those who have 700+ GMAT and no scholarship, like me (but I know where I fell short: no post-graduate full-time work experience). If you think about it, Rotman says only about 15% of the incoming class gets a scholarship. With a GMAT average of 674, how many do you think scored over 700? Probably a lot more than 15%...

My GMAT score and undergraduate transcripts must have reached them around the deadline. I think I mailed in my diploma transcripts after the deadline.

Its heartening to see R3 candidates getting such lightening-fast response. Congrats on the admit, people!

Anyhow, any news on how did the RPSC go?

My understanding of the waitlist is that they dip into the pool of waitlisted applicants once the class is set, and if they're missing seats they invite from the waitlist, so I thought that you wouldn't hear back until maybe July or even August, after the last confirmation deadline.

However, during the RPSC, I spoke to several students who either got an admit from the waitlist or know of someone doing the same, but I think that these students were very proactive. Rewriting the GMAT and scoring higher, in some cases up to 50 points higher, getting new recommendation letters, etc. Basically they did whatever they could to improve their application based on what the adcom said were weaknesses.

Speaking of the RPSC, it was a fun event. Very stressful, very busy, but it was fun. Great learning experience, met tons of new people and future classmates.

On the subject of RPSC, I can't say enough good things about the students, faculty and guest speakers. To use an analogy it's like when you golf, if you are playing with better players it elevates your game. Very excited to be surrounded by so many fantastic individuals.

Thanks, Mr. B! It's good to hear that you all had a great time at the event...

And, on the waitlist thing, I am all ears to any other information anyone has to share because I am on two waitlists :?

Just got admitted (Round 3 applicant). I'm looking forward to meeting some of you in September. :-)

Incidentally, if any of the RPSC attendees care to share their real names via PM, that would be cool.
