E. The first identifies one side of a dichotomy; the second indicates how one side supports its argument.

I think if the second 'one side' is replaced with 'second side', then it would be more perfect.

can some elaborate why D is wrong?
since the second part is not the conclusion??
I was stuck with D & E :(

Based on the two sided of the dichotomy, the author concluded that "It remains to be seen whether mathematical models regarding decision sciences will ever reach a higher degree of accuracy.". Hence, 2nd bold face is not a conclusion rather its an example of the 2nd dichotomy. Hence, D is incorrect.

Hey prateek176 ,

You need to understand the structure of the argument to be able to understand why B is wrong.

Author is giving information about two sides of a coin.

Side 1 -- He mentioned something
Side 2 -- He mentioned something else and then provided more information to prove the 2nd side.

Hence, author nowhere concluded that 1st side is an issue. He just said 2nd sided people have their justifications.

Hence, B is wrong.

Does that make sense?

abhimahna don’t you think that bold ''one side'' should be replaced by "the other side".

I had the same thought. But no other options made sense to me, and then i thought "one side" rather than "the other side" makes it inconspicuous, and a trap setup for us to ignore that option.
But yeah, "the other side" makes it very clear.
