Hey,

I gave the GMAT exam today and scored 620. I will be giving it again (haven't decided when). I am looking to apply only in 2019. I have 72 hours to cancel this score. Was wondering if I should cancel it or let it be?

Hi
It depends on the schools you want to apply and on your profile. An extraordinary profile can get you call from schools.
But, a score of 700+ will increase the probability of getting calls from top schools to a large extent.

I think you shouldn't cancel as you can play it well on your application by showing your determination and aptitude, sit for the exam again and score much higher !

Hey Aroma
Thanks for getting in touch. GMAC has changed a lot of the "rules" over the last few years and now you can take the GMAT five times in a year, which is great. Schools only care about your highest score so I recommend trying again. Then, the best case outcome is that the school sees that you started at 620 and then went up to 700+. (hopefully!) If you cancel this score, what happens if you can't break 620 for some reason? So my vote is to keep it because we can't be certain of what will happen next.
I hope that helps!
My best,
Krista
