Hello All,
I hope this message finds you well. Seeking the community's help in compiling a list of B-school options. Grateful for any suggestions.
A little bit about my profile: I have a GMAT score of 700 and completed the one-year MBA from a well-reputed B-school in India. Currently, I have been working in supply chain consulting at Big 4 consulting firm in India for the past two years, and I have a total work experience of 8+ years in various SCM roles in automotive & manufacturing industry.
I am considering pursuing further education to work in the USA and gain international work experience. Therefore, I am interested in applying to B-schools that offer strong SCM programs. However, with so many options available, I am seeking guidance on which B-schools would be a good fit for someone with my background and aspirations.
My main priority is to study in USA, complete the course as early as possible (preferably in a year), Minimize investment (with good scholarships), STEM designation (for OPT) and SCM concentration. However, if I can get great scholarships/waiver then I am planning to consider 2 year MBA programs as well but not sure about it considering my not so great gmat score and higher work-ex. My post-MBA/MS aspiration is to get placed at E-commerce firms such as Amazon/walmart. My Second choice would be product companies such Apple,Tesla, etc and the last option would be the consulting firms (Big 4/Boutique supply chain consulting firms) in USA. Prefer Supply chain roles.
I have shortlisted one year MBA at SMEAL (considering they're good in SCM, STEM-designated & might offer good scholarships), MS in SCM at Michigan Ross (one year program & STEM) and MS-SCM at MIT (one year program & STEM) and STEM MBA in Michigan State university (2 year MBA & STEM but not sure on the scholarship).
Considering my experience, GMAT score and priorities, could you please recommend some B-schools that have reputable MBA/SCM programs and may align well with my career goals? I am particularly interested in schools that have a strong track record in SCM.
Any insights or advice you could provide regarding the application process, potential scholarships, or any other relevant factors would be highly appreciated.
Thank you so much for your time and expertise. I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
