I completed my Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering at NIT Warangal in 2022. I have a 9.08 CGPA and have different POR's like General Secretary of an Association and a club, Mess Representative, and Block representative. And now it's been 2 yrs, I am working as a data analyst at Novartis.

GMAT score:
Total : 605 (72nd)
QR : 70th
VR: 23rd
DI: 96th

I am targeting schools in US and Europe.
Should I send this score to schools or not, How will it affect my application?
If so, any suggestion on schools ?

Hello GSV,

Hope this finds you well.

It is tough to comment on this without knowing which schools you are targetting; however, if you have some time in hand before the application deadlines for these schools, you must look at retaking the GMAT and improving your score.

Hope this helps.

All the best!

Hi GSV,

Your profile presents a strong foundation with a solid academic background from NIT Warangal, relevant work experience at Novartis, and active involvement in extracurricular activities. Your CGPA of 9.08 is particularly impressive.

While your overall GMAT score of 605 is respectable, it's important to consider the individual section scores and how they align with the expectations of your target schools.

Quantitative Reasoning (QR): Your QR score is good, indicating a strong aptitude for quantitative analysis, which is often valued in MBA programs.
Verbal Reasoning (VR): Your VR score is lower and could potentially be a limiting factor for some top-tier programs. However, your strong academic background and work experience can help mitigate this to some extent.
Data Interpretation (DI): Your DI score is excellent, which is a positive indicator for programs that emphasize data analysis and problem-solving skills.

You should generally send your GMAT score to your target schools. While your VR score might be on the lower side, your overall profile and strong academic background can help compensate for it. Many schools consider the entire application holistically, taking into account your work experience, essays, recommendations, and other factors in addition to your GMAT score.

School Recommendations:

Based on your profile and GMAT score, you can consider top-tier business schools (T20). However, we would recommend exploring schools that offer programs aligned with your career goals and interests. We can help you strategically select schools by focusing on your overall profile and application, which can help you increase your chances of admission to a reputable MBA program that aligns with your career goals.

Hi GSV
I am Priyanka, Client Manager at ARINGO. Speaking about your profile, your score is a bit below the average for many top programs in the U.S. and Europe. Considering your experience, your leadership roles and experience as a data analyst at Novartis, I would recommend retaking the exam and increasing your score to at least 655-665 in order to increase overall competitiveness. If you decide to apply with this score, you should target schools where the GMAT range is more aligned.
