Hi,
Y2 from Haas here. I understand from my peers here that the courses might be marginally weaker but the recruitment is as strong, except that Haas would help you place better in the East Coast. Some of them take an exchange at Columbia to network in NYC and take other Finance courses.
That said, delaying your plans, and in turn your salary progression, for a year may not be worth the marginal benefit at Booth.

Have you spoken to finance Haas grads and looked over their career trajectory on LinkedIn? I have to believe banks recruit at Haas and GSB, and there is probably less competition. I have a client who graduated from Haas, working in IB at Evercore (shifted from Motorola) and doing amazing.
