Just to help boost confidence, whats the consensus of Pr(admit|interview)? I have seen figures ranging from 0.6 to 0.78.

it's just probability......still people not getting accepted...

It depends, this year the numbers are much lower. In my region they are about 0.4 and I guess it is the same in other places (looking at GMATclub it is 10% from 25% - very much the same). This is a very bad year from our point of view.

Would you please elaborate? Links to these data?

Also, GC trend (25 down to 10) isn't a concern to me since this group is heavily biased for international applicants and self-reported.

Edit: Calling All Apps Sloan 2012 had an invite rate of 20% and 13% admitted giving a Pr(Admit|Interview) of 65%.

I am international student, so it is not biased for me... :)
There are about 4000+ candidates and about 340 spots, so the final number will be less than 8.5%(but you are right that I do not know what is the initial percent of interviewees). Moreover, a lot of candidates got waitlisted so you are also compete against those students.

I heard nothing back after my interview until I was accepted.

I'm on the East Coast. Is there any rhyme or reason to the order they call admits? Like, do a 9am sweep from EDT to PDT to Asia?

Does MIT call admits just as Stanford does? as in before the online decision is posted ? or do they do it after the fact like HBS?

None of that matters when we're talking Pr(A|I).

The results have started coming in.

I'm in India, and I just got a phone call from MIT to let me know I was admitted into the program.

So hang in there and hope for the best!
