Cover Letter Please prepare a cover letter (up to 500 words) seeking a place in the MIT Sloan MBA program. Your letter should describe your accomplishments, address any extenuating circumstances that may apply to your application, and conform to standard business correspondence. Resume Please prepare a business resume that includes your employment history in reverse chronological order, with titles, dates, and whether you worked part-time or full-time. Your educational record should also be in reverse chronological order and should indicate dates of attendance and degree(s) earned. Other information appropriate to a business resume is welcomed and encouraged. The resume should not be more than one page in length (up to 50 lines). 3. Essays We are interested in learning more about how you work, think, and act. For each essay, please provide a brief overview of the situation followed by a detailed description of your response. Please limit the experiences you discuss to those which have occurred in the past three years. In each of the essays, please describe in detail what you thought, felt, said, and did. Essay 1: Please describe a time when you had to convince a person or a group of your idea. (500 words or fewer, limited to one page) Essay 2: Please describe a time when you overcame a personal setback. (500 words or fewer, limited to one page) Supplemental Information (Optional) The Admissions Committee invites you to share anything else you would like us or your future classmates to know about you. Letters of Recommendation MBA applicants must submit two letters of recommendation. Professional recommendations are preferred from individuals who are able to speak with certainty about your professional achievements and potential. Recommenders must submit recommendations online. We do not accept mailed recommendations. Recommendations may be in either letter or short answer format and should not exceed two pages each. Please choose recommenders who are able to provide specific answers to the following questions: How long and in what capacity have you known the applicant? Any discrepancy between the scanned transcripts and official transcripts may result in a rejection in our decision or a withdrawal of our offer of admission. 6. Test Scores The GMAT or GRE is required of all applicants and must be taken before submitting your application. Once your online application is submitted, we will not allow replacement of your test scores. Only tests taken after September 1, 2008 will be considered. Haha, yeah it's the worst. Actually no... THE WORST is the ambiguous "Regarding your application" subject line. ...open it up and it just says "We have received your application and are currently processing..."

Mine says the same also and it feels good not to be the only one waiting. I have submitted an application video (open to public on Youtube) for my MIT application. Let's see if my hours/days/nights of work will pay off. Good luck to you all

I have checked the analytics but the video is made public, it is difficult to track it down. (I should have unlisted it). Also, there are no views listed in the states of Massachusetts... That's not a very good sign.

I am in the same boat. My video is unlisted and nobody from US has watched it yet. But at least this time I'll know if somebody read my app. Posted from my mobile device

Well, for those who posted videos on Youtube - the analytics engine logs a view only when the entire video is viewed (till the end). In case someone viewed your video till the last second, and stopped, Youtube won't record that as a statistic. So it could be that your video was viewed till the very last second, but closed before the view could be logged. I believe that the AdCom would look at the supplemental essays of all applicants, even if they dont really score it. It would be unfair to view the supplemental essays of only a few candidates - given MIT Sloan's focus on innovation and creativity, the supplemental essay should be the first component of an application that they view, given that its a blank canvas on which a candidate's creativity can be visibly captured. For the record, my supplemental essay was viewed four times in Jan (between Jan 25 and Jan 29, to be precise), all from the US. I know because the website I uploaded my PDF to is relatively obscure, but has cool analytics (tells me which country the view came from, at what time, and for how long the view lasted). Since it was a private link I generated just for Sloan, I figure nobody else could have stumbled upon it. I guess the interview invites will begin to go out within a couple of weeks, maybe even this week. With Sloan, you can never tell. But then, that's the beauty of a surprise isn't it?
