So if Stanford makes most admit calls the day before (i.e. Tuesday 25th), that means that Wharton and Stanford calls will be going out on the same day! Anyone else waiting on both?

Not Wharton, but Kellogg is the same day too and those are my last 2 apps. Good luck to us

Wow - three M7 schools on the same day! I wonder if anyone's waiting on all three?? You'd definitely want to check the caller ID codes in advance if that were the case.
Thanks for the luck - hope you get two calls on Tuesday!

Yup JUG, waiting for both Wharton and Stanford. Goodluck to you..
Any other R1 waitlisters get a phone call from admissions today? It nearly gave me a heart attack, but it ended up just being a call saying decisions would come out next week.
They actually called to tell you that?!! Wow... I would have freaked out.

I was driving at the time... I think I almost crashed my car!! They called to let me know R1 waitlisters would be receiving one of three decisions next Wed -- accepted, denied, or continue on waitlist. Then asked if I had any questions and/or if my circumstances had changed at all. Pretty short... 2-3 min max. Not sure what this means or if I'm just reading into things too much!

Wow! Has that happened to people in the past? I don't know how you could NOT read into that - i.e. they want to know if there is a good chance you'll accept if they accept you off the WL.

What area code / time of day did you get that call? Only reason I ask, also on R1 WL, got a call from a 209 # (cell phone) during a meeting at ~1:30pm PT but I couldn't pick it up - they did not leave a VM though. Probably a coincidence / not the adcom, but curious nonetheless.
I got the call around 5:15pm PST from a 650 area code (Palo Alto).

Great - I've got at least one Stanford/Wharton GMAT club buddy. Best of luck for Tuesday!

I think that's basically them wanting to admit you from WL but wanted to make sure that you are still interested? Did you send in any sort of emails or whatever form of communications after you were WLed to confirm your interest/update them?

That would be amazing but not getting too excited yet. I did send them an update letter around the beginning of February reiterating my interest and telling them Stanford was my #1 choice. I then sent them another short note a couple of weeks ago after I got a promotion at work, just telling them about that. When they called yesterday, I just again reiterated the fact that Stanford was still my #1 choice and that I was definitely still interested. Fingers crossed for next week! Good luck to all you others waiting for the big day next week!!
Congrats Megan! What does your application status say on the website? Are your recommenders still there?

Haha, thanks! Don't think it really means anything yet though so waiting until next week to hear the news (hopefully good news...). Nothing on my portal has changed... it still says "ACCEPTED WATLIST OFFER" and my recommenders are still there as well as my waitlist letter from December.
So if accepted we'll get a call on Tuesday for sure? Or it's only a possibility?

From what I've gathered from trawling through the R1 thread and last year's, it's almost all the accepted applicants who get a call on Tuesday, but there is a slim chance of getting admitted on Wednesday.
I'm on the east coast of the US- I'd heard anecdotally that if you don't hear by ~1PM, you're probably not going to get a call.
Does that agree with any others' expectations? I'm trying to game my calendar for tomorrow a bit to ensure that I avoid having meetings while I'm a stressed out ball of fear waiting and hoping for my phone to ring...
Hi there - I too am east coast and had the same question so I looked through R1 timeline and R2 from last year. In the former, east coast calls were ~11 to 2 est. In the latter, they were ~9 to 3! So I think there's really no saying for sure. Trying to tell myself not to lose hope until about 5 when I may be able to sneak out unnoticed...
Got it- thanks, that's helpful. I had set up all kinds of "ghost meetings" where I'm the only attendee for tomorrow and Wednesday to "play defense" on actually having to deal with real, professional issues, but I'm also being dragged into real, actual work tomorrow
