Hey Surabhi,

Great that you have decided to give your GMAT again. Before planning for strategies, I would suggest you give official mocks because they will reflect your current strengths and weaknesses. Also, what were your Sectional scores in the REAL GMAT EXAMS?

Regards

Hi SurabhiKawad1,

Your first 2 attempts at preparing for (and taking) the Official GMAT fit a similar pattern - and now the early phase of your 3rd attempt appears to fit that same pattern as well. As such, you have to be careful about continuing to study for the GMAT in the same ways as before (since "your way" of preparing for Test Day ended in almost identical, disappointing Scores on your first 2 GMATs). Thankfully, the GMAT is a consistent, predictable Exam, so you CAN train to score at a higher level.

Before I can offer you any advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on your prior studies and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long did you prepare before each of your prior 2 attempts?
2) What study materials have you used over the course of ALL of your studies? Which 'brands' of CATs/mocks have you used?
3) What were the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for these 2 recent practice CATs?
4) What were the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for your 2 Official GMATs?

Goals:
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
6) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Thank you for your reply. Here are the answers to your questions
Studies
1) Before my first attempt, i prepared for about 4 months and before my second attempt, i prepared for about 3 months.

2) 1st attempt- Only the OG 16, princeton review manuals and mock tests. manhattan prep mock tests and 2 official tests. My score range was about 590 to 670
2nd attempt- Revised through princeton review manuals, retook a couple of manhattan prep mock tets, veritas mock tets, OG 17 and 4 official tests

3) For the recent practice tests i scored as below
Kaplan - Overall score : 670 , Quant : 49, Verbal: 33
Princeton review: overall score: 660, Quant: 46 Verbal: 36

4) Official gmat 2017 : Overall score: 540 Quant: 34 Verbal: 23
Official gmat 2018: Overall score: 550 Quant: 39 Verbal 27

Goals
5) I am planning to complete applications by this year end (mostly R2 or R3) and enrol for fall 2020
6) I have not shortlisted any schools yet but i aspire to get in the top 10 in UK or NUS, singapore. Also, slightly dependent on the scores i achieve.

I am completely blank and dont know where to begin from. Would appreciate your suggestions.
