Does anyone know what the schedule for Welcome Weekend is? (roughly when does it start and end on Friday and Saturday?)

Dan, as I recall Welcome Weekend started somewhere around noon on Friday and officially ends at around 6pm on Saturday (although there will be some sort of official-unofficial drinks afterwards). Also of note if you are a sure commit - Welcome Weekend is a good opportunity to check out housing in the area. Most housing offices are closed on weekends and for some reason, need 24 hours notice to view an occupied unit. So if you want to get a head start, Thursday is a good day to fly in.

If anyone is in NYC and want to meet for a quick drink, I'm in the city today and tomorrow with relatively little to do before our Morocco trek on Thursday.

Hello guys , in the "ADMITTED CANDIDATE TERMS AND CONDITIONS" letter i received yesterday the last section says:" Your enrollment in the Tepper MBA program is contingent upon your successful completion of the Academic Culture & Communication Program (ACC) offered at Carnegie Mellon from July 1 - August 1,". Does this mean that this ACC program is mandatory for me ? (I'm an international applicant).

Yes it is mandatory for you. Hopefully it is an online course. Mine requires a Technical Calculus course. Seems like kind of a hassle.

I am international, but I don't have that paragraph in my terms and conditions, so it is not mandatory for all international students. Maybe they will waive or substitute it..

Someone should correct me if I'm wrong, but the idea is that you will get multiple admits to different schools. So as a consumer, you want to make the best informed decision and the admit student weekend is great way to do this! During the admit student weekend, schools will put on a show and give you reasons as to why you should attend  their  school. They  want  you to choose them!

Tepper is the only school I know where the deposit date is before the admit student weekend. Most schools have their admit student weekends throughout April, with their first deposit around May 1. They're basically not giving the students a chance to see what Tepper has to offer through their admit weekend and want students to make up their minds before Tepper's marketing pitch.
