The diagram shows the structure of the official website for a certain film. Each box represents one page on the site, and each line represents a link between pages. For any of these pages (A) and any other of these pages (B), it is possible to navigate directly from A to B if and only if a line connects A and B and an arrowhead on that line points to B.
Select from the drop-down menus the options that create the statement that most accurately reflects the information provided.
Using the fewest links possible and only those shown in the diagram, navigating from the Viewer-Community Newsletter page to the page requires visiting exactly .
I guess there is a miss of word in the end I was getting double right answers
Using the fewest links possible and only those shown in the diagram, navigating from the Viewer-Community Newsletter page to the ____ page requires visiting exactly _____ page/pages
Ans has to be Viewer Community login page is visited once.
Here, considering Home and Director Bio, it is not required to use another pages as a mean of connection. Rather, we can directly connect the both pages. Therefore O(Zero) page requires. For Viewer community login, we need Home page as a via to reach Viewer Community Login page. Therefore the answer is Viewer community login and 1

The main part where we get misleading is we assume its talking about the link. Whereas, the wording is basically number of page. I chose the option based on the outlier (Both the other page have direct links) and understood that it meant choosing the pages.
got this one - just remember that you cant "visit" a link. I know that the 2nd box should say "quantity links/pages" but think about it logically. you cannot visit a link. you are visiting another page. if you go from VCN to home, you are taking one link and not visiting any other pages.

the keyword here is "other", so the Question is basically asking by visiting how many other pages {not the links} we can go from destination A to B.

I have a doubt on one more possible answer choice. Why the combination "Home" and "1" doesn't work? My reasoning is the user can go from "Viewer-Community Newsletter" to "Director Biography" due to the arrow pointing towards latter and then "Home" due to double-pointed arrow.
Is this because of the word "exactly" which eliminates the above possible answer as there are more possible paths (such as Director Biography --> Characters --> Synopsis --> Home) which require visiting >1 page?
Please let me know where I am thinking wrong here.

The reason is the use of words 'using fewest possible links'.
We are looking for the fewest possible links and 'Home' is directly connected so no other page is required to be visited.

To go from Viewer-Community Newsletter page to the selected page, one needs to use the fewest links possible. Look at the options available in the drop downs. Viewer-Community Newsletter page -> Director Biography - Single click since an arrow connects them in the right direction. It requires visiting 0 pages in between which is not given in the options
Viewer-Community Newsletter page -> Viewer-Community Login page - requires a visit to Home in between which means you must select 1 from the pages drop down. We do have 1 there and hence this is the answer.

Thanks chetan2u, but is there any role of the word "exactly"?

Not literally.. VLN can be visited from VCN after visiting 2, 3, 4 or even 5 other pages. Be it with or without word ‘exactly’, the answer would be 1 page.
