How is D the answer. Doesn't the 99 cancel out?

I don't think D is the answer either.
We get: (1/2)(2/3)(3/4)(4/5).......(99/100)(100/101)
= 1/100

==> An=1-1/(n+1)=n/(n+1) then,
A1A2…….A99A100=(1/2)(2/3)….(99/100)(100/101)=1/101

Hence, C is the answer.
