Hi,
Is C incorrect because it states " Most" Bees.
Or is there any other reason of C being incorrect. Could You please help.
Thanks
The statement says "the survival of the next generation has been secured." and the answer is talking about bees live well beyond
the onset of the next generation, therefore one is talking about securing the survival and the other one about living after the next generation has onset, so we can't infer this from the statement

MRE2510, "most" is indeed problematic in choice (C).
We know from the passage that bees are among the group that "
may live for years after the survival of the next generation has been secured." The word "may" is very important here. Bees
might live for years after the survival of the next generation has been secured, but that isn't enough to infer that
all or
most bees will do so. Maybe only a small proportion do so.
Quote:
(D) Those bees that reproduce do not always die soon after reproducing for the first time.
(D) is a much better answer. Given the information in the passage, we can safely infer that at least SOME bees will NOT die soon after reproducing for the first time. Those bees will, instead, live for years after the survival of the next generation has been secured. Thus, some bees (however small a proportion they represent) will live for years after reproducing for the first time.
I hope that helps!
