I have a couple of questions. The quicker the response the better :)

1. I am not able to find my undergrad university in the lookup and am not able to find other either, what to do?
2. I remember filling the details of my recommender and still I am not able to see anything in the recommendation provider list :(

Help!!!

Please give a representative example of how the applicant interacts with other people.

I am a little confused about this prompt. Am I supposed to indicate how I interact or give an example of how I interact?

Give a third person's perspective on your ability to work and interact with others. Examples would be the best way to show this rather than just telling.

Ahh! So I personally did not have this problem as I could locate my university. But I think if that is not the case, there's no other option/code. You will have to manually fill in the university details. Try if this works and let me know.

Couple of things of my mind - you may give examples of how you dealt with a situation in a team environment (interaction with the team members is the key here), or how you manage your team or how you deal with your superiors.

Hey guys, Happy new year! Hope everyone is adding the finishing touches to their essays at this stage.

There has been some advice and insight on the forums with regards to number of examples that people used to illustrate in Essay 1. However, did anyone provide a separate example to illustrate the second half of MIT's mission statement: "to generate ideas that advance management practice"?

A lot of posts touch upon separate examples for principled and innovative but no mention of second half of the mission. Any thoughts would be much appreciated :)

The outline to my essay was basically:

-Origin story - "why i am interested in x"
-I have pursued x outside of my ft job throughout the years
-Example 1 of me working in x
-Example 2 of me working in x
-transition para: Example 2 has given me a deep understanding of y innovative idea/seldom pursued area
-At MIT ill pick up z, which will help me further pursue x/y

through my examples, i was able to demonstrate that I was a principled leader and that I had the drive to change the world.

I didn't even mention my ft job in essay 1, I reserved that for the rec letter.

Hey, thanks for the response. Interesting approach to not talk about any professional experiences. Essentially, my take is to be honest about the extent to which you have created impact and let Adcom be the judge on if this is truly world changing.

Hi. For Essay#2, does anyone know whether the six recommendation questions' length will be counted towards the overall essay length? I am unable to decide how to organize my answers in the document considering removing the recommendation questions isn't a good idea.

I only counted the text of my responses towards the cap. It seemed to work out ok since I got an interview (I withdrew before final decision release).

Just made a PowerPoint for my optional essay to finish off the application...how do you load the PowerPoint into the application? I was going to convert it into a pdf and upload it, but it seems like I have to find a website to host it?

Do we have to put the professional stuff only in that or can we put in other examples also?

Remember - you are writing as your most recent supervisor. So, put in personal stuff that you would've/ could've possibly shared with your supervisor.

But, then again, I got a ding w/o interview, so pinch of salt with the above advice!
