Have any Consortium applicants from R3 (Jan 15th) received invitations? I have not heard anything from Stern yet, other than a confirmation e-mail that they have received my application.

I received an invite on the 3rd to interview on campus during their diversity weekend

Congrats! Guessing no invite for me then.

Waitlist w/o interview. As an applicant with a low GMAT score (650 Q42/V38), I was actually expecting a ding. I suppose giving the GMAT another shot would be ideal but I have never gotten over a 650 in a practice test. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Any extra curricular you've done in the past couple of months that weren't included in your app? Maybe you can write about those in sort of an "Update Essay".

I applied with 660 and was convinced I'd receive a ding. But then six weeks after I applied (r2 deadline) I retook the exam, got 680 and sent the new score to Stern. I do believe it made a difference and I'm interviewing next week.

Good luck!!

I thought the same thing. Was so sad when I got the original status update email. It should be similar to the Interview Invite email which had a much nicer subject line!

Ah that really gives me hope! Best of luck on your interview.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone!

I applied 1/15 and sent Stern a physical item for the optional essay. I received initial confirmation of recommendations, payment, etc., but I have yet to receive a follow-up with the password to check my status. Stern claims this would be sent out in 2-3 weeks, but today brings it past 4.

Anyone else have this issue? I have yet to receive a response from the adcom (I'm sure they are plenty busy). Just looking for some feedback whether I should actually start worrying or not haha.

Thanks!

I also submitted a physical item but I have a login. Maybe call them? Do you have a tracking number?

Straightened it out, got my password... phew!

Missing GMAT results:

When I log in into the status check, it shows a small tabel in which it tells me that my official GMAT has not been received yet. Frankly, I find that a bit odd since I ordered the reports to be sent more than a month ago. However, it makes me wonder if I should contact the admission staff to double check if there is anything I can do.

Has anybody experience on that? Would that be helpful or rather a nuisance? What would be the best way to contact them?
Thanks for any help.

I apologize if this information has already been shared/explained but two questions:

1) Do you receive an email or any contact once your application is formally complete and under final review AFTER THE INTERVIEW? (i.e. when can I start counting down the 3 weeks because I was missing one official transcript at the time of the interview.)

2) When you do hear back on a decision, what is the first form of contact notifying you? Email? Phone Call? Physical Letter?

Thanks very much!! Hoping and praying over here!

I would definitely give them a call, especially if you sent in the scores a month ago. You shouldn't appear as a nuisance; more like a genuinely concerned applicant who wants to confirm the application is complete.

Received my invite at 5:04 PM EST.

I've always held a fondness for NYU, and I enjoyed my visit in December, so I am really looking forward to this. Class visit, lunch, and interview on 3/2.
