Decisions come out on Wednesday. They call those that have been accepted.

Do you think we'll be able to see the decision online first thing in the morning that day??
I'd suppose right? If the date changes are actually status updates we can't see just yet...

Don't know if I'd be willing to just wait all day to see if the call comes or not... :?

Last year it seems most people with acceptances found out because of the call. I'm sure it shows up online at one point, but no idea when. It could be all at 5pm or 12:01am

It might just be the online notification this time around: https://www.kellogg.northwestern.edu/pro ... lines.aspx

"DECISION NOTIFICATIONS
Once our decisions are made, we will email you a link to your application status page where you can learn of your acceptance status. Due to confidentiality constraints, we cannot release your decision over the phone."

Well, if they do call I sincerely hope that my VA area code means I get an early wake up call, even though I live in California now.
But really, I just want that call!!!

I'm the opposite. I'm from CA but going to be on the east coast for most of the day before flying back. I actually want an online update!

So I did my interview back in early/mid Oct and my date was changed to 12/2 and has never changed since. According to one of the theories, I'm in? :):):) I hope that's true haha. These speculations are too interesting!

The Accepted theory is if the date changes daily this week!

Does the online application acknowledge the interview in any way?

Mine still says "application submitted" and the interview is not mentioned at all.

According to the theories, we've all been accepted at one point.

This is what I was referring to......

Just to add to my last post, a more logical approach would be to keep selecting people from that lot. So if your date has stopped changing after 5/12, you must be in the "selected" list already. The people for whom the date changes till the latest date reported - they will probably be rejected.

Except that there are waiver applicants whose dates stopped changing a while ago and aren't changing now. These people are probably in the reject pile, but their dates aren't changing.

I can picture us all just sitting there refreshing the application status pages daily. Refresh. Refresh. Refresh.

or the rejected pool gets new entries every day and hence the date change

For waived applicants;

I spoke to a Kellogg Admissions Officer at an info session, and asked what would happen if I chose an on-campus interview and slots were filled. She responded that a waiver would be produced, and that they would conduct a Skype call if they wanted additional information.

Keep in mind that the video essay is in full force this year. Perhaps they are making decisions based off of it for those not interviewed. I highly doubt that an applicant who would have had a chance of acceptance with an interview, however minute may it have been, would be brushed aside because her application was submitted later than someone else, or because an alumni was not in the same geographical region.

You really said what I so wanted to hear :-D :-D
Is it possible this year, because of the almost impromptu video essay, that people get admitted without an interview? I know I am thinking this only because it suits me, but then who knows!

I think many people are interpreting the changes of dates for their own good feeling. I haven't seen any argument strong enough to convince me thus I tend to think I have been both admitted and rejected...until the 17th.
