"and" is a conjunction which joins 2 independent clauses.
The second clause in Option A does not have a main verb --> so it is not an independent clause and therefore is a wrong construction.

Other explanation:
One way to shorten the 2nd clause after "and" is to use "and so".. but that needs an auxilliary verb (be, do, etc) after the "and so"... This is missing in the 2nd clause.

Isn't the use of 'too' in option c redundant? I chose none of the above for my answer.

Just notice COMMA+AND construction here. This construction is used two join two independent clauses until and unless comma+and is connecting a list i.e. a,b, and c.

Another important point: and+also is redundant.

Well I am not very sure about the usage of and +too (too is a synonym of also).

mike and GMATNinja what do you think about and+too usage in GMAT?

I think this is a poor-quality question and the explanation isn't clear enough, please elaborate.

I think this is a poor-quality question and I don't agree with the explanation. The lead-in from 'Dancing With the Stars' will be high, and also the expectations

I chose 'none of the above'. After going through the explanation, I did not understand , why 'C' as option is correct? I think the word 'too' is not required. Please help me understand how option 'C' is correct.
Thanks!
