"I tried to call you earlier today (but it was almost midnight your time) to tell you the good news coming from MIT.

By now, you should have already received the email confirming your admission and I wanted to personally congratulate you on your admission

I havent received any email till now. The application page shows no update.

After 5 hours of despondency and trying to deal with the apparent rejection, I dont know if this email is a mistake or a hoax or real.

Congratulations! I can confirm I received a similar email. I emailed back (to thank him) and FYI'ed him that I had not received such an email. He replied and noted our chat but did not address the email. I'm sure it will come!

Decisions are up. Flat ding for me. I had some hope as I had perceived my MIT interview as better than my Chicago one.

Anyway, I have already got Booth, so I guess that makes things easier for me.

I have to say, I am a little disappointed at MIT's lack of attention to detail...in addition to the types of emails that they send.

"Please fill out the wait list reply form and indicate before November 16, 2015"

I can't picture any scenario where November would be accurate?
