Hi All,
I am scheduled to appear for the GMAT on Thursday, 16th July. I have been studying for about two months now and I feel like I have covered the portion.
So, about a week ago I took a full GMATPrep test (including IR and AWA) and scored a 730.
I had been scoring 670 - 680 consistently on Manhattan tests before that so a 730 was kind of a surprise.
However, I took a Veritas Prep test today(because I had run out of Manhattan tests) and scored a 630!
So now, I am kind of confused regarding which score should I consider most accurate.
Is it possible that the GMATPrep score was a one-off incident because of easier questions or some similar reason?
I don't have a lot of time left to prepare, so a 630 is kind of freaking me out.
Could anyone tell me what is the general accuracy range of the private tests like Veritas and Manhattan?

Even i had similar experience with Veritas mock ... their algorithm is a bit weird ..
with 15 incorrect questions in verbal i got V 36 and in next mock with 16 incorrect qestions in verbal i got V25
Consider your Gmatprep score only as benchmark !!

Hi anibjoshi,
Have you had a chance to do a full review of this recent CAT? While no 3rd party CATs are a perfect match for the Official GMAT, a number of them are 'close enough' to give you a reasonably accurate score - ASSUMING that you use the CAT correctly. We're also meant to assume that you took your CATs under identical circumstances AND that those circumstances are a relative match for what you'll face on Test Day. The more the details vary from one CAT to the next (and on to Test Day itself), the more likely that there will be 'swings' in your scores.
All that having been said, after reviewing this CAT, how many questions did you get wrong that you COULD/SHOULD have gotten correct? The little mistakes that you made on those questions play a big role in accounting for the score drop that you experienced.
