Hi everyone, I hope that everyone had an excellent weekend!

I am finishing my application for the Queen's MBA, I am a little tight here in terms of visa processing time, however I want to ask you something about the application process. Perhaps MBABoss, aeromati or sidiitm2004 could give their insights on the Cover Letter, I mean it seems to be very broad in terms of topics covered. What would you recommend?

The cover letter for me summarized who I am and things I could not demonstrate anywhere else in the application.
I would generally advise that you frame it in a way that is interesting to read till the end. Don't go on and on about you.

Talk about your impact; what you've done so far & how you intend to continue that impact with your MBA.
Teamwork is vital so share a bit about how you perform in teams too.

Queen's takes more emphasis on personality fit than other schools in my application experience.
So don't be afraid to share that too.

You've gotten into a lot of other schools so I'm sure your profile won't be a barrier.

Hey guys, I was just doing some research about the Queen's MBA Job Report, and I can see the placement rate (98%) however it is not discriminated by neither Job Function nor Industry. It also lacks the answer rate, which I think is relevant.

Did you find anything that could help me answer those questions?

Hi MBABoss, thank you. Sure, I saw that report some time ago, however my question was about the response rate to get that 98% placement. I just wanted to make a comparison.

Hi,

I am an Indian presently based in the US, and will mostly join Queen's, matriculating in 2019.

I wanted to get an idea about the on-ground career outcomes scenario for international students out of the program. Hoping somebody could let me know the actual picture.

Hey guys,

I know this might not be the appropriate place to ask - but what is the usual range of $$ from Queens?
I have 331 GRE (740 GMAT) and 3.72 CGPA with 3.5 years work exp in Telecom-Digital domain. My choice of school will almost surely be dictated by the amount of money I get offered.

Hey guys,

I received an email from them today saying the committee will convene today and they want to discuss the results with me tomorrow. I am guessing this is because I was on good terms with the person concerned, and that also means a ding, and they are letting me off easy. So there you go...wonder what went wrong, will know tomorrow on the call

If the committee hasn’t met yet, you’re likely still a candidate - they like to lock down good candidates immediately after the committee decides to admit. Let us know what you hear back!

In my case, I was interviewed by the program director, who also happened to be the committee chair. I got the impression that if you did well with him, it held more weight with the committee.

Well yeah, in my case it was the associate director. I am a little unsure about the timeline...I mean if the committee hasn't met (notwithstanding the weight the director or associate director's decision holds) how would they know (admitted or rejected) to actually fix a call slot. Not really sure what to think
