Would HBX CORe (pass with honours or high honours) play a significant role in my application to HBS? According to an article on Poets and Quants, a third of the incoming class last year had taken the HBX.
1. I have a 6.9/10 CPI from an Indian Engineering school and a 760 (Q50, V41, IR7) on the GMAT. Will a great performance on HBX CORe wipe away my average academic performance in school?
2. Is it advisable to spend close to 170+ hours on HBX CORe instead of spending that time somewhere else enhancing the profile or getting to know more about the school?
3. Will HBX CORe play any role in enhancing chances of getting through in other top 5 schools like say the Booth or Wharton? All of these schools are super-selective, especially the Harvard and hence if HBX CORe is something that won't matter to any other school except Harvard then it doesn't seem right to spend so much time on it.
