One report on ClearAdmit from London, otherwise seems quiet. But it generally feels quiet both on ClearAdmit and here, reports for GSB are down ~40% vs. last year based on same number of days from first e-mails on ClearAdmit.

Anyone else wondering if the 270+ of us reporting might not ever receive an invite and the folks receiving invites just aren’t reporting?

Well, theoretically ~10% should receive invites (assuming that GMAT Club members who report represent the average application pool), and 7 have been reported out of ~240 R1 applicants, meaning ~17 more would be expected in the final 6 release days. This compares to 7 in the first 16 days.

Conclusion?
- People on this forum have a significantly lower probability to be invited to an interview compared to the average
- Selection bias, where people who have have received invites do not report it
- Application numbers are up significantly vs. last year - meaning my 10% number is completely wrong
- Fewer invites than expected have gone out in aggregate, and there will be a catch-up in the last 6 days

I try to keep my hope up for the last reason, but in practice I'm preparing my R2 applications.

Thanks KLANO

Not sure I was that helpful to be honest.

What would be interesting, is to understand what the prep-companies have observed this year vs. last year in terms of interview invite flow? If anything, you have the most complete data-set outside of the locked doors of the AdCom.

My theory is the Adcom runs through the entire application for the round and start sending invites on a second read through. This way, they get to build the diversity they want in the class....Diversity not based on race, age or work experience... but diversity in the contribution your experience and aspiration brings to the class.

Makes sense that the bulk of the invites will be from tomorrow.

Could you by chance rerun this chart with the last few days included?

Here's one I put together based on LiveWire data from this year vs last year. Similar to the post above, updated for today as of 3:30pm ET.

21 invites this year so far vs 40 at the same time last year.
