Hello ISB aspirants,

We are a group of a few ISB alumni. All of us belonged to PSU/ manufacturing sector (pre-ISB) and have successfully made into diverse industries post ISB. We have been randomly helping candidates by reviewing their applications. Some of us have been part of internal ISB students team, which reviews the applications of aspirants applying to ISB. Some of us have also been in the interview panel and have interviewed candidates in the first round. With a purpose of helping the student fraternity & to better organize our effort, we have decided to review 20 Applications for R2 ending 15 Jan 2018. We will extend this service FREE OF COST.

The sole purpose is to help candidates and ensure that deserving candidates get into ISB. It's an attempt to give back to the fraternity from which we ourselves have gained and are continuously gaining.
At this point we prefer candidates from PSU/Manufacturing/Operations/Project Management/Marine background. Interested candidates can email their essays to essayforisb at gmail dot com

Hi ,

I have a doubt regarding the application process for ISB. Under University for Bachelor's degree, there are 2 options for Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, Rajasthan, India with numbers 7686 and 7779. Anyone knows what that means? Which one to select?

I am applying for ISB R2. I wanted to know how many recommendations are required for applying? If two of them are required should both be submitted by supervisors from workplace or one of them should from a previous professor?

They require one recommendation and its always better to submit one from your professional supervisor

Is it okay if I get the recommendation from my previous supervisor not the current one. Does it has any negative impact on the application?

It depends how old the experience is with the last supervisor. If its within past 2-3 years and your past supervisor has seen you do substantial work, then it should be okay

The general rule of LORs.
1) From your professional associations AS RECENT as possible; More than 2 years old NOT ACCEPTABLE
2) Direct supervisor most preferred> Skip-level current supervisor> Client (but must have worked directly for at least 6 months, preferably a year or so> Peer in the team
3) In 2) above your points keep on reducing as you go to the right.

If you MUST choose a recommendation from someone other than your direct super, try and describe the reason in your Optional Answer space.

Hope it helps.

Hello,

I have below 3 questions in regards to ISB Admissions

1. For Indians working on H1/OPT in US, how does the admission process/Interviews work? Do they schedule Skype Interviews?

2. Can I submit both Gre and GMAT scores with my application?

3. Will submitting only a GRE score impact my profile? (Assumption: GMAT is preferred while you apply for MBA Admission

Thanks in advance.
