Indian Female 27 years old
Class 10 92%
Class 12 98%
Mechanical engineer86%
Work integrated course in BITS Manufacturing Management 92%
6 years of exp in Aerospace industry

Cultural activities Medium involvement during school and college

Generally speaking, a 710 may not be a very competitive score for top 10 global B Schools considering your Indian Engineer background.
Most of the top schools have a mean score above 710 and that puts you below the average applicants, further accentuated by the fact that you belong to a large and competitive pool of applicants.
Also, with enough time between now and R1 deadlines in 2019, you should take another shot at the GMAT and target a 730+.
Your past scores look solid and in a way are a strong indication that you can score much above a 710- this score probably does not do you justice.
However, end of day GMAT plays a crucial but limited role. Even a 760 is not enough and even a 690 can get you in if you bring in other strengths in your profile around work experience, diversity, career goals and extracurricular activities.
Currently the information around these aspects is too limited or missing to give a meaningful answer.

Since you have planned to apply to R1 deadlines this year you still have plenty of time to prepare for your GMAT but we suggest you to retake your GMAT only if you believe to add 30-40 points to your current score. Adding 10-20 points would make no huge difference and you can rather invest this time and effort behind crafting impactful and well tailored application.
Having said this, a GMAT of 800/800 can not guarantee you a place in any prestigious B-schools since business education is not always about the aptitude and grades and it’s also important for you to realize that your GMAT score is just one component of the admissions process. You usually need to meet an absolute minimum GMAT threshold.
You can also try your chances for B school using our intelligent "B-School Selector" to evaluate your profile for Free.
